I received this message regarding the sendmail-announce list. It seems
like a reasonable request.

Subject: auth instructions should say to omit leading whitespace

Howdy. Just tried to subscribe to the sendmail-announce mailing list, and
it failed the first time, apparently because I followed directions. The
directions say:
> If you really want this action to be taken, please send the following
> commands (exactly as shown) back to "Majordomo@lists.sendmail.org":
>
> auth 4523deb9 subscribe sendmail-announce sendmail@dilvish.speed.net
When I did that, I got no response from the server (not even an error
message).
I started the process over and the second time I started the line with
"auth" rather than " auth". This time the subscription went through.
I know indentation is a convention for quoting text, and usually I'd omit it
without being told explicitly to do so, but I took the added comment
"(exactly as shown)" literally. You should either delete that phrase or
change it to "(exactly as shown, but without the leading whitespace)".
