All I can say is that we expected that the confirmation process would deal
with any addresses that are illegal but aren't recognized as such.  After
all, it must be legal if you can send mail to it, right?

I've thrown out a solution (graft on my address parsing module) but I have
Majordomo2 and clients jobs and such to work on.
