Subject: Majordomo on non-Unix platforms

I have been looking at trying to get Majordomo working on OS/2,
and am pleasantly surprised at how well some of it works.

Unfortunately I have hit a few snags, and I was wondering if
anyone had a ny suggestions of ways to resolve them.

One problem is due to the Unix vs DOS line termination. This isn't
usually an issue, but in some instances a 'seek' is made to find
the position of the begining of a line which has just been read.
I found that this results in the file pointer going back one
character less than it should. Is there any way to change the
code to make it platform indepedent?

The other problem I have had is with functions like 'link'
and 'unlink'. Is there any, albeit less efficient alternatives
to these functions?
