I couldn't agree more.
However, one thing came to mind looking at the web GUI (which is far, far
stornger than I ever thought it could be by now) that goes along with my
earlier arguments.
Developers tend to write GUIs that are really config file editors,
providing a point-and-click interface which requires you to understand the
underlying config variables, instead of the actions they control.
An example: in the part where you determine which aliases are available,
even though the config takes one-letter entries, why doesn't the GUI form
list the mhole option? Or, going all the way to the task orientation, why
not a check box for "Users should be able to send mail to
LISTNAME-subscribe to be added to the list and to LISTNAME-unsubscribe" to
be removed"?
