Time. I sent out a proposal for changing the way 'aliases' works
yesterday.

I agree fully. But now you're getting into the "refinements" stage where
before we were in the "get some kind of web interface" stage. Keep
bringing these kinds of things up, and keep a list if you like. Working on
things like this would be a great way for someone who wants to contribute
to get involved.
