Hi,

I thought the list might be interested in my new wrapper for rsync - jlsync.

jlsync provides for software installation and host configuration management.

You can use jlsync to solve some the problems cfengine solves or you can use it to do all your software installations (Saving you lots of time if you're still trying to roll your own local rpms and pkgs).

It's still a work-in-progress but jlsync is already in daily use to manage development, QA, and production systems.

Sharing the code publicly will hopefully motivate me to debug/document/clean-up/hack it a bit more.

Jason.
