    These references I'm sending to the list on the theory that I was
asked here, and these references may be generally useful.  Some of
them you've probably seen before, a few of them maybe not.

    For completeness, I'll mention Tom Limoncelli's "The Practice and
Art of System and Network Administration" and the original
infrastructure papers by Steve Traugott.  I'm sure if I digged, I
could come up with more canonical references, but you can probably
find those as well as I can.


    Something further afield that was very useful to me in tracking
down my problems was "Workflow Modeling", ISBN 1580530214.  I learned
a number of useful methods from here, and still apply them (should
re-read the book soon).

    The stuff that is further afield I will handle as offline
requests.
