Subject: Network-Automation mailing list moving to a new home

Today, the Network-Automation mailing list is moving to a new home at
Netomata, Inc.

Each subscriber should soon receive a message from the new mailing
list server, with detailed information about the new list addresses,
archives, and so forth (as well as information about how to unsubscribe,
if you wish to).  In summary:

To post messages, email them to network-automation @
 lists .
 netomata .
 com

Info about the list, including instructions for subscribing,
unsubscribing, and changing options, is at
    http://lists.netomata.com/listinfo/network-automation

Archives (including archives from the old list, eventually) will be at
    http://lists.netomata.com/pipermail/network-automation/

Each subscriber will be added to the new list with roughly the same major
options (receive each message, receive a daily text digest, or receive a
daily MIME digest) as on the current list.  The new list is being managed
with GNU MailMan rather than Majordomo2, though, so any other options
about your subscription that you might have set will not be transferred.

As a reminder, the Network-Automation mailing list is for general
discussions of issues related to automating network configuration
and management, including (but not limited to) methods, mechanisms,
techniques, philosophies, policies, and products (in general; questions
about specific products should be directed to the mailing list dedicated
to that particular product).

Netomata, Inc. (http://www.netomata.com/) is a new company that I've
formed in order to develop and support open source network automation
software.  Later this month, we plan to release our first tool, the
Netomata Config Generator (ncg); details about that are on our web site.

As stated above, however, the Network-Automation mailing list is for
_general_ discussions about issues related to network automation;
questions and discussions that are specific to the Netomata Config
Generator (ncg) should be directed to the ncg-users @
 netomata .
 com mailing
list (http://lists.netomata.com/listinfo/ncg-users), just as questions and
discussions related to other tools should be directed to the mailing lists
specificly created to support those tools.

Sincerely,

-Brent
